How it works for Sloped Freelancers

To become a Sloped Freelancer, you must first become a Sloped Certified Member. What Does it Mean to be a Sloped Certified Member?

Certified Membership Details

Sloped has a network of business members looking for people with professional-level SketchUp and LayOut skills.

When a business has a project in need of help, they provide the details (budget, scope, timelines, etc.), then we hand-pick the IP (independent professional) that we think is best suited for the job. There is no competition and no bidding.

There are three types of contracts that Sloped offers to businesses:

  1. Fixed Fee with Milestones

  2. Hourly with a Retainer

  3. Hourly with Prepay

If you are selected for the project, then you will be added to the contract, where you can interact with the business, ask them questions and negotiate the scope or the fees (if you choose). Once everyone is happy with the terms of the contract, both parties sign, a deposit gets paid by Sloped to the business, and work can begin.

In order to ensure the safety of the IP, deposits are always taken before the work begins in the event that the business defaults on payment. Our priority is to make sure you get paid for the work you’ve completed.
